accessing sdcard on beaglebone black

Asked by 7 months ago
Hello, I just got my first beaglebone black. Having a hard time accessing microsd card. Nothing seems to happen when I insert the card. I tried ssh root [ at ] beaglebone.local dmesg | tail -20 21006.125492] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21016.156720] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21026.188084] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21036.219371] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21046.250562] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21056.281750] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21066.313065] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21076.344230] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21086.375639] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21096.406721] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21106.438086] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21116.469239] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21126.500495] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 [21136.531708] [drm:output_poll_execute], [CONNECTOR:5:HDMI-A-1] status updated from 2 to 2 mount rootfs on / type rootfs (rw) /dev/root on / type ext4 (rw,relatime,data=ordered) devtmpfs on /dev type devtmpfs (rw,relatime,size=255280k,nr_inodes=63820, mode=755) proc on /proc type proc (rw,relatime) sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime) securityfs on /sys/kernel/security type securityfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec, relatime) tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,nodev) devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,relatime,gid=5,mode=620) tmpfs on /run type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,mode=755) tmpfs on /sys/fs/cgroup type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,mode=755) cgroup on /sys/fs/cgroup/systemd type cgroup (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec, relatime,release_agent=/lib/systemd/systemd-cgroups-agent,name=systemd) cgroup on /sys/fs/cgroup/cpu,cpuacct type cgroup (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec, relatime,cpuacct,cpu) cgroup on /sys/fs/cgroup/memory type cgroup (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime ,memory) cgroup on /sys/fs/cgroup/blkio type cgroup (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime, blkio) systemd-1 on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type autofs (rw,relatime,fd=25,pgrp=1, timeout=300,minproto=5,maxproto=5,direct) debugfs on /sys/kernel/debug type debugfs (rw,relatime) mqueue on /dev/mqueue type mqueue (rw,relatime) tmpfs on /tmp type tmpfs (rw,relatime) gvfs-fuse-daemon on /home/root/.gvfs type fuse.gvfs-fuse-daemon (rw,nosuid, nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0) fusectl on /sys/fs/fuse/connections type fusectl (rw,relatime) /dev/mmcblk0p1 on /media/BEAGLEBONE type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime, fmask=0022,dmask=0077,codepage=437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=mixed, showexec,utf8,flush,errors=remount-ro) Not sure how to proceed, as seems sd card is a must for os installation or upgrade.
