MacBook Air sometimes 20x slower running node than Beaglebone Black

Asked by 5 months ago
Hi folks, Does anyone have any clue why node might run considerably slower on a MacBook Air running OS X 10.9.1 than on a Beaglebone Black with Angstrom Linux? It's not the particular code I'm running because this is the case on all node programs I run on my MacBook Air. This slowness started as a gradual process but has become the norm. I tried reinstalling node and I haven't seen a change in performance. Any suggestions are a great help, I'm stuck. - R.J.
